Description

The Headgrab is a Level 2 Monster that is considered a fairly basic enemy in solo mode, as its damage is relatively low. However, in co-op mode, it can become dangerous, as it uses the heads of dead allies to attack more quickly.

Behavior :

The Headgrab is a fairly basic enemy that simply moves around the map and attacks. Things change if you're playing with friends (in co-op): if someone dies on the map, it heads towards that player's head (the head being the physical object remaining from the corpse) and attaches it in place of its own.

When the Headgrab is carrying a player's head, it becomes much faster, both in movement and attack speed.

Bonus ! The dead player whose head is being carried by the Headgrab has the "opportunity" to see the monster's pov.

Attack :

The HeadGrab's attack is simple, it uses two attacks: claw strikes or a jumping kick. Both inflict 5 damage.

The danger of its attacks is in the secondary damage: when the HeadGrab successfully lands a jumping kick, you are thrown against a wall, potentially inflicting an additional 10 damage.

Appearance :

The Headgrab is a humanoid creature with green skin, an O-shaped mouth, and wide, yellow eyes with red pupils. The top of its head resembles that of a coach, with a kind of nose and people emerging from a large mouth. When it wears a player's head, its yellow eyes disappear, and the player's head is fixed on top like a hat, with animated red eyes.

Tips & Strategies

  • Solo: In solo mode, the Headgrab can be quickly defeated with a throw or a melee/stun weapon.
  • Countering Enhanced Mode (Co-op): You can grab the head of the player the monster is carrying to remove it and stun them, then attack.
  • Communication: If you are the defeated player, communicate the monster's location and movements to your teammates using the extra battery by pressing E.
