Description
The Gambit is a unique Level 2 Monster. It doesn't try to inflict immediate damage on you, but rather to grab you and force you to spin a roulette wheel whose consequences can be fatal.
Behavior :
The Gambit begins pursuing the player as soon as it spots them. Its objective isn't to hit you, but to catch you. When it manages to grab you, it immobilizes you to initiate its random roulette mechanic.
Once caught, you must spin its wheel, which has several random effects. During this time, you are vulnerable and completely dependent on the outcome of the wheel.
After making you spin the wheel, he will run across the map, before catching you again if he sees you.
Attack :
The Gambit's attack is a grapple, which forces you to spin its roulette wheel, offering five possible outcomes with varying consequences:
- Green: +25 HP
- Red: -50 HP
- White: Full HP (Health restored to maximum)
- Black: HP reduced to 1 (Health reduced to a single point, very dangerous)
- Yellow: Receive a small money bag
But BE CAREFUL: if a teammate attempts to hit or stun the Gambit while it's grappling you (or another player), it will inflict 60 damage to the player being grappled.
Appearance :
The Gambit is a monster that's somewhat difficult to describe. It appears to have a humanoid form, with two elongated eyes on the left and right sides of its enormous head. Its head obviously takes the form of a roulette wheel, and the central axis of the wheel is the Gambit itself, when it "opens its head" to reveal the roulette wheel.
Tips & Strategies
- Countering the Grab: While the wheel is spinning, quickly pull out a weapon and hit the Gambit. This will stun him and free you from the gambling mini-game before it finishes.
- Recommended Weapons: Any weapon (Ranged or Melee) capable of stunning or dealing quick damage is effective at interrupting the wheel mechanic.
- Cooperation: In Co-op mode, it's crucial to avoid hitting or stunning the Gambit while he's holding an ally, unless you're certain your ally can survive the 60 additional damage.
