Description
The Apex Predator is a deceptively innocent-looking Level 1 monster that appears as a small, fluffy duckling. Despite its adorable exterior, it is one of the most hazardous monsters when it is provoked.
Passive Behavior :
In its passive state, the Apex Predator tracks the player's aim, deliberately moving to remain at the dead center of your crosshair. Should you look skyward or leap, it will mimic your movements by hopping as well, ensuring it stays clearly visible at every moment...
Aggressive Behavior :
The instant the Apex Predator is seized or sustains any harm, it undergoes a transformation and instantly fixes its target on the assailant, or on the closest player if the damage was not direct.

Once enraged, it turns hyper-aggressive for 10 seconds, unleashing a swift barrage of bites that can strike up to three times every second.

It will disregard hiding mechanics, able to pursue players under or over furniture, leaving sprinting as the sole available method for escape.
Movement & Flight :
If the Apex Predator is thrown into a pit, it will fly right back out unless it has been stunned. Once it becomes airborne, it can stay in flight for as long as 30 seconds before gravity forces it to descend.
Appearance :
Apex Predator is a duck — no surprises there. It’s small and yellow, with orange legs and beak, and big, all-black eyes. In its rabid form, a massive red jaw juts out from its mouth, lined with sharp teeth.
Tips & Strategies

Breaking Line of Sight: This creature loses aggro very quickly. Executing a tumble beneath furniture or cover often breaks its sightline just long enough for it to abandon the pursuit. Since stunned monsters need a full 5 seconds of visual contact to spot you, this is an easy method of escape.

The Toilet & Cauldron Method: One of the simplest ways to defeat the Apex Predator is to trick it into a toilet and flush it, inflicting environmental (physics) damage. This tactic also works with cauldrons in Swiftbroom Academy. If you haven't injured it beforehand, be ready to locate where it lands and slam it repeatedly before it manages to stand up to finish the job.

Tumble Launch for Stun: Performing a tumble launch directly into the duck can stun it, dealing 15 impact damage. If it topples over during the stun, it might suffer an additional 25 damage. Be cautious, though—the instant the stun ends, it will immediately enter its enraged chase state.

Extraction Point Crush: You can crush the Apex Predator with an extraction point, which is especially effective since it tends to hover close to your crosshair. If the monster is deep enough inside the extraction zone, you’ll also automatically receive the value of its orb. Just confirm it isn't too near the edge, or the orb might drop as an item instead of being sold.

Redirection Maneuver: If it's following you, try facing a wall that has another room behind it—the Apex Predator may shift into that adjacent area and lose interest, leaving you free to escape or reset the situation.

Pit Trap Blockade: Although the duck is capable of flight, it only stays airborne for around 30 seconds. If you manage to knock it into a pit, quickly block the exit using a cart or a large object. Once its flight timer expires, it will fall and die without any means of escape.

Handgun Elimination: Despite its quickness, the Apex Predator can often be taken out with one shot from the Handgun, as the weapon can stun smaller monsters on contact. If the timing is correct, the duck will hit the ground twice during its stun, which is typically sufficient to defeat it. Note: This is more difficult to execute due to its erratic movement and the handgun's instability when you're moving.
