Lloyd's Main Stage Theater
Description
Lloyd's Main Stage Theater is an attraction that appears in Chapter 1, and it is the attraction that Lloyd the Lion is the star of.
Appearance :
From the outside, Lloyd's Main Stage Theater is a rectangular building with stained concrete walls, peeling paint, and six worn pillars framing a staircase leading to the entrance, where a blue and yellow sign says its name. Banners bearing Lloyd's image hang at the entrance.
Inside, a room filled with carved gilded moldings welcomes you, with about a hundred seats facing a stage draped in red and gold curtains, under a ceiling adorned with a chandelier.
Behind the curtains, everything is in disarray. Backstage, a maze of shelves and crates forms a corridor, seemingly hastily arranged to protect intruders. This path leads to an office where the key to Jetstream Junction is hidden.
Gameplay :
When you enter the theater, you see Lloyd sleeping in the middle of the stage. You wake him up as you approach, and he runs to the back of the stage. As you pass behind the stage, Rambley warns you : he can't see what's going on behind the stage (and your Critter Cuff can't resurrect you).
Arriving at the back, you spot Lloyd behind some shelves, watching you, before he slips away. You move forward to retrieve the key to Jetstream Junction, but Lloyd suddenly jumps on you, ignoring the boxes around him, falling brutally on top of him, preventing him from reaching you.
Finally arriving at the office, you retrieve the key and retrace your steps. But when you reach the exit and try to open the door, Lloyd grabs you and tries to attack you, before the Critter Cuff emits
ultrasonic waves, scaring Lloyd away (maybe an features installed on Critter Cuffs in the past, to keep Lloyd away in case of trouble during
performances).
As you open the door, you briefly glimpse Mollie, before she disappears. You can finally leave the Theater safely.
Trivia :
The exterior’s design—with pillars, banners, and bold signage—was reportedly inspired by a blend of Disney’s Town Square Theater and theatrical attractions like Muppet*Vision 3D, giving it both classical grandeur and a playful edge.
Rambley claims he “can’t see back there,” yet security cameras are scattered through the backstage halls. This detail suggests either that the park’s surveillance is no longer functional, or that Rambley’s perception is limited by his programming—a subtle world-building detail.
A small but charming easter egg : the backstage piano can play the Indigo Park theme when interacted with. In a place full of tension, it’s a rare nostalgic nod to the park’s brighter days.
In early builds, speedrunners discovered a way to skip part of the backstage sequence by exploiting collision physics. This “maze skip” was patched later, but it’s become a tiny piece of community lore.
