Poppy Playtime CHAPTER 5 ARG News!

The Poppy Playtime Alternate Reality Game (ARG) has just kicked into high gear. We have received a massive dump of information, ranging from cryptic zip files to disturbing X-rays. If you have been following the updates on our X account, you know things are getting intense.

Let’s break down everything we found in this latest wave of clues.

The "SeeingReason" Drop

It all started on Discord. A user named "SeeingReason" sent a locked .zip file named "stuffifound.zip", claiming they had "good reason to believe there's something important in here."

Inside, we found a file titled "lullabyroom", and which, when you add ".mp4" after the file name, becomes a viewable video. To put it simply: it is terrifying. The video is a glitchy mess of red and black static, but the community quickly realized that the video itself was hiding secrets.

Hidden Images and The Playground

One of the cleverest tricks in this ARG involved the video file itself. If you add the file extension .png to "lullabyroom", the file actually opens as an image.

The result is a dark, grainy picture of what looks like a playground or a carousel. The lighting is eerie, blue and red, suggesting this location might be significant in Chapter 5. Hidden messages and numbers can also be found in the image.

The Binary and Chromosome Code

The lullabyroom video wasn't just scary visuals, we noticed sequences of X and Y flashing on the screen. These likely refer to chromosome pairs, hinting at genetic experiments.
When we translated these X/Y sequences into binary, we also got four specific decimal numbers: 1, 4, 16, and 17. 

New Monster?!

Speaking of visuals, the video briefly showed distorted images of Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy. But they weren't alone. Hidden behind the footage, we spotted a mysterious third character. It appears to be all red with yellow hands.

Our friends over at Mascot Massacre posted a post with fanart of what this monster might look like: it could be related to Huggy and Kissy.

The "Restricted" VHS & Cipher

All of this led us to find a new RESTRICTED VHS: "RESTRICTED_conditioning_1990". It is 2:30 minutes long and gives a lot of valuable information.

This video contained a binary code sequence at the beginning. Once translated, it gives this sequence of numbers:

It is a substitution code, where each number corresponds to a letter of the alphabet. Once translated, it gives this
 « HOW DID WE GET HERE? LOOK BEFORE EVEN HOW TO GET IT HERE NOW ITS EVEN MORE THEN IT DID THEN » 

Biology and "Wrongside Out"

The lore is expanding heavily on the biological side. We found a new X-ray of CatNap, which gives us a detailed look at his internal structure. You can clearly see the "protective mouth covering", "intra-esophageal gas exchange", and a "refillable gas storage canister" inside him.

Furthermore, our friends over at Mascot Massacre highlighted a new document mentioning a concept called "Wrongside Out." The note suggests that while the factory is dead, this concept is "powerful" and "useful."

Finally, a glitchy image surfaced with the text "We need to talk P.W." This refers to Preston W., a Playtime Co. biologist who wrote the incident report regarding the CatNap Massacre. It seems the employees knew things were spiraling out of control.
