In the first real trailer for Poppy Playtime Chapter 5, released today (december 5) by Mob Entertainment, we got our first glimpse of a new monster from Chapter 5: Lily Lovebraids!
New Monster: Lily Lovebraids
The core of this trailer lies in the introduction of a new antagonist at the end of the trailer. If Huggy embodied brute force and Mommy relied on manipulation, this new entity seems to represent pure madness.
This is most likely Lily Lovebraids (a name originating from trademark leaks). She drops down from the ceiling, suspended by her long braids, which seem to be her main mechanic—similar to Mommy’s extendable arms or CatNap’s smoke. Her visual features include:
- Plastic doll-like legs, similar to Barbie dolls
- A skirt-like outfit
- Star-patterned socks
She also appears to have her own “room” or dedicated area in Chapter 5, suggesting that she will be the main antagonist.
We can't speculate much more about her, except that she might be the Mimic monster we've already discussed??

On these shoes, we can also notice that they have star shapes, like The Star Walkie Talkie that we have been seeing in some teasers:
2nd new Monster
A creature is seen lurking inside the vents. Its body shape is similar to that of a Smiling Critter, but with distinct features: long circular ears on the sides and what appears to be a sharp crest or mohawk on top of its head. The creature looks withered and decayed. It was already spotted (and electrocuted) in the previous Teaser Trailer, identifiable by the same sound it makes.
We can also see his real face on the new merch (t-shirt related to the new monsters)
The Prototype
The trailer doesn’t miss the chance to remind us who truly runs this place: Experiment 1006 — the Prototype — who makes a striking appearance.
From the dialogue and visual clues, it becomes clear that the New Monster isn’t acting on its own. It appears to function either as a guardian or yet another puppet of the Prototype. The trailer hints that the Prototype has been gathering the pieces of fallen toys to build something far greater. Chapter 5 may finally reveal the result of these assemblies.
We can also remove the fact that we see his real body (3D model) for the first time, and not just a shadow.
This trailer makes it very clear that after the bomb exploded in Chapter 4, after Poppy escaped, and after we fell into the Playtime Co. labs, the Prototype immediately went after Poppy.
Poppy’s Fate & Gel Theory
The entire trailer centers around Poppy desperately fleeing the Prototype (EXP1006). The leading theory is this: the Prototype doesn’t want to kill Poppy — he wants to capture her and dissect her. Just like the scientists once did, he may be trying to uncover the secret behind her creation — how an inanimate toy can be transformed into a living, seemingly immortal being.
The “Poppy Gel” shown in the first teaser trailer is believed to be the substance the Prototype uses in an attempt to create new living experiments — a gel made from poppies, designed to breathe life into his monstrous creations.
